Job Description

The Clinical Nurse in the Operating Room assesses, plans, and manages patient care throughout their stay, ensuring smooth transitions and high-quality, compassionate treatment.

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care according to policies and regulations.

  • Orders and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.

  • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to develop care plans.

  • Guides ancillary staff and maintains nursing standards.

  • Requires a nursing degree, NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and preferred previous experience as a PCA or nurse assistant.

  • Committed to ongoing education and quality improvement.
