Job Description
The Clinical Nurse provides compassionate patient care in the Emergency Department, demonstrating kindness and active listening.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs, responses to care, and applies sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Collaborates with the team to develop patient care plans, guides ancillary staff, and maintains professional standards.
Requires a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), NYS RN license, and certification in BLS and ACLS.
Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Possesses strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
The role involves handling sensitive information with confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
