Job Description

The Float Pool Clinical Nurse provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.

  • Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and documenting care.
  • Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment in care management.
  • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborates on care plans, and guides ancillary staff.
  • Minimum qualifications: graduate of a recognized nursing program, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, and strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must adhere to confidentiality and data protection policies regarding sensitive patient information.
