Job Description
This RN position in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit involves caring for post-surgical patients in 22 semi-private rooms.
Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion, central lines, wound vac changes, NG, and catheter placements.
Assess, plan, and coordinate patient care, focusing on progress toward discharge and ensuring compassionate, competent care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, interpret diagnostic tests, and evaluate patient needs.
Collaborate with team to create and follow a Plan of Care and guide ancillary staff.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current RN license, and certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC. Continuing education to improve skills is encouraged.
The role requires adherence to privacy and confidentiality regulations, including HIPAA.
