Job Description
The Float Pool Night Nurse provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting procedures.
Evaluates diagnostic tests and assesses patient needs and responses to care.
Uses sound nursing judgment for patient management and provides emergency and routine care.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow patient care plans, guiding ancillary staff and maintaining professional standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate’s or bachelor’s degree, and current NYS RN license.
Requires BLS and ACLS certifications, 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, and strong communication and organizational skills.
Must adhere to confidentiality policies regarding sensitive patient information.
