Job Description

The Clinical Nurse in Vascular Surgery assesses, plans, and manages patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge readiness and care transitions.

  • Provides coordinated, compassionate care for patients with complex vascular conditions, including amputations and wounds.
  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and interprets diagnostic tests.
  • Assesses patient needs, responds to emergencies, and guides ancillary staff to ensure quality care.
  • Requires a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS and ACLS.
  • Preferred experience includes nursing assistance or prior clinical roles, with ongoing education to improve performance.
  • Ensures compliance with privacy and safety regulations, handling sensitive health information responsibly.
