Job Description
The Vascular Surgery Night Clinical Nurse provides comprehensive patient care, focusing on coordination, assessment, and management throughout the care episode, including transitions and discharge planning.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and evaluating patient needs.
Ensures compassionate, competent care across inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings, collaborating with the team to develop care plans.
Requires a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, with preferred experience as a PCA or nursing assistant.
Knowledge of wound care, telemetry, and vascular patient needs is essential, with ongoing education encouraged to improve skills.
The role involves safeguarding sensitive information per HIPAA and other regulations.
