Job Description

The Clinical Nurse on the Float Pool works night shifts, providing compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.

  • Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting care according to policies and regulations.
  • Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and makes sound nursing judgments for primary and emergency care.
  • Collaborates with the team to develop care plans and guides ancillary staff to maintain professional standards.
  • Qualifications include graduation from an approved nursing program, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential. The role may involve handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy laws.
