Job Description

The registered nurse assesses, plans, coordinates, and manages patient care throughout the episode of care, focusing on progress toward discharge and transitions within the acute stay.

  • Responsible for delivering and coordinating compassionate, competent care by the caregiving team to patients, families, and referring facilities in inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.

  • Participates in the Nursing Professional Advancement Pathway, progressing from novice to competent in a specialty, with opportunities for further advancement.

  • Contributes to a caring environment through kindness, active listening, and teamwork, while promoting performance, quality improvement, and patient satisfaction.

  • Ensures safety and security by following protocols, respecting individual differences, and responsibly using resources.

  • Maintains confidentiality and adheres to policies protecting sensitive information, including HIPAA regulations.
