Job Description
The Registered Professional Nurse in the Post Cardiothoracic Surgery unit assesses, plans, and manages patient care to facilitate recovery and discharge.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care per regulations.
Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, evaluates patient responses, and applies sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to develop care plans.
Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
Requires a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, BLS certification, and relevant experience.
