Job Description
This RN position in the Operating Room involves assessing, planning, coordinating, and managing surgical patient care throughout their stay, focusing on safe transitions and discharge.
Acts as the patient advocate during procedures and ensures compassionate, competent care for patients, staff, and referring facilities.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, and documents according to policies and regulations.
Evaluates patient needs, uses sound nursing judgment, and directs ancillary staff.
Requires a nursing diploma or degree, NYS RN license, BLS certification, and 1-3 years surgical RN experience preferred.
Experience with quality improvement and advanced surgical facilities, including robotic and hybrid suites, is advantageous.
This role emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and adherence to confidentiality standards.
