Job Description

The clinical Nurse in the Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.

  • Works weekend night shifts with a salary range of $72,072.00 – $74,229.26, or hourly between $34.65 – $35.69.
  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care following policies and regulations.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
  • Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
  • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
  • Collaborates with the nursing team to develop patient Care Plans and guides ancillary staff, maintaining professional standards.
  • Handles sensitive information with confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA and other regulations, ensuring data is accessed on a “need to know” basis.
