Job Description
The Medical/Surgical Cardiac Hospitalist position requires a registered nurse to assess, plan, and coordinate care for cardiac patients in a 29-bed unit, including private, semi-private, and multi-room settings.
Patients range from young adults to seniors with various cardiac and medical diagnoses, often needing telemetry monitoring after procedures.
The nurse implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and evaluates diagnostic tests.
Responsibilities include providing primary and emergency care, collaborating on care plans, and guiding ancillary staff.
Qualifications include a nursing degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, with preferred experience as a PCA or nursing assistant.
Excellent judgment, ongoing education, and knowledge of quality improvement are essential.
This role requires adherence to confidentiality and regulatory standards.
