Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) provides comprehensive patient care, coordinating and managing patient needs throughout their stay with a focus on discharge planning and care transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and assessing patient responses.
Provides primary and emergency care, collaborates with the team to develop care plans, and guides ancillary staff.
Requires a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, active NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Must have 1-3 years of clinical RN experience, including at least 1 year in telemetry or ICU.
Continued education and knowledge of quality improvement are essential.
This role may involve handling sensitive information, with strict adherence to confidentiality and privacy regulations.
