Job Description

The Wound Ostomy Continence (WOC) Nurse is an expert in caring for patients with wound, ostomy, and continence needs, supporting clinical care, education, and quality improvement.

  • Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, diagnosing issues, setting outcomes, analyzing data, and collaborating with the healthcare team to enhance care and efficiency.
  • Provides direct clinical support and evaluates policies to improve practice quality.
  • Assists in resource allocation, cost analysis, and patient service coordination.
  • Requires graduation from an accredited WOC Nursing program, current RN license, 3-5 years nursing experience, and plans to obtain certification within a year.
  • Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, with a Master’s preferred, and demonstrate effective communication, collaboration, and accountability skills.
  • Role involves handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations.
