Job Description

This RN – Ambulatory position supports pediatric outpatient divisions including Pulmonology, Rheumatology, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, and Nephrology.

  • Provides direct patient care, triage, assessment, and care planning under physician or APP supervision.

  • Performs vital signs, medical history, physical assessments, medication administration, and participates in procedures.

  • Reviews test results, manages patient requests, and facilitates communication to meet quality metrics.

  • Delegates tasks to LPNs or MAs as appropriate, ensures compliance, and educates staff and patients.

  • Requires an associate’s degree, NYS RN licensure, CPR certification, and 1-3 years pediatric or ambulatory experience preferred. Strong communication, computer, and medication skills are essential. Work may involve sensitive information and adherence to privacy standards.
