Job Description
The clinical Nurse in the Float Pool provides compassionate care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment for management decisions.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to create and follow a Plan of Care.
Directs ancillary staff, maintains professional standards, and documents treatments as per regulations.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of relevant clinical experience.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.
The role involves handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy laws.
