Job Description
The Emergency Department RN provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness, contributing to a supportive environment for patients, families, and staff.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow Plans of Care.
Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Must have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The role involves handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy laws.
