Job Description

The Clinical Nurse in the Labor & Delivery unit provides compassionate patient care through kindness and active listening.

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to regulations.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
  • Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
  • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
  • Administers medications as ordered and collaborates with the team to develop patient care plans.
  • Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
    Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, 1-3 years of clinical experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, and strong communication and organizational skills.
