Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) provides comprehensive patient care, coordinating and managing patients throughout their stay, including transitions to discharge.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments and tests, and documenting care.
Assess patient needs, interpret diagnostic tests, and apply sound nursing judgment for both primary and emergency care.
Collaborate with the team to develop care plans, direct ancillary staff, and ensure professional standards.
Qualifications include a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), current NYS RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience, including telemetry or ICU.
The role emphasizes quality improvement and compliance with privacy and safety regulations.
