Job Description

The Therapy Team Leader supports daily therapy operations and assists the Director of Therapy Operations.

  • Requires supervisory skills, effective communication, and expertise in licensed discipline evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment.
  • Delegates tasks to therapist assistants and technicians, manages staffing, scheduling, training, and ensures adequate patient coverage.
  • Maintains communication with hospital departments to meet patient, staff, and hospital needs.
  • Provides 80-90% patient care within licensed discipline.
  • Fosters an environment aligned with hospital mission, holds staff accountable, motivates performance, and oversees department operations and improvement.
  • Supports staff development and clinical skill enhancement.
  • Qualifications:

  • Current state license (PT, OT, SLP), BLS certification (or obtained within 30 days), and CCC for SLPs.
  • Minimum three years of discipline-specific or leadership experience, with at least two years clinical.
  • Proficiency with office equipment and Microsoft Office.
  • Physical ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds and perform repositioning tasks.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a temperature-controlled environment, with occasional outdoor exposure and potential blood/body fluid contact.
  • Reliable attendance, adherence to dress code, and flexibility for shifts, holidays, and disaster response.
