Job Description

The registered nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex care while managing contingencies and delegating tasks appropriately.

  • Demonstrates competency in self-leadership, team leadership, or leadership of leaders.

  • Provides nursing care using the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients.

  • Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, administers medications, monitors effects, and documents care.

  • Assesses learning needs and educates patients and families.

  • Requires a BSN preferred, at least 1 year of related experience, RN license, and certifications like BLS; ACLS and PALS are required for specific roles.

  • New hires must complete orientation and competencies; perioperative experience is preferred. Certifications have specified grace periods based on experience.

  • Work schedule is TBD; position is full-time.
