Job Description
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) with ongoing, full-time hours of 36 per week on 12-hour shifts.
The role involves providing direct clinical patient care, assessing, planning, and implementing care for assigned patients on each shift.
Supervising staff, ensuring high-quality, safe, and cost-effective nursing care, and supporting clinical staff competency are key responsibilities.
The RN coordinates and plans patient care based on the nursing process, administers medications safely, and adheres to safety standards, risk management, and infection control protocols.
The role includes responsibilities in emergency preparedness, including knowing hospital emergency codes and participating in incident command system tasks during emergencies or disasters.
