Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Emergency Department provides compassionate patient care, demonstrating kindness and active listening.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to regulations.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Collaborates to develop and execute patient care plans, directing ancillary staff and maintaining nursing standards.
Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS and ACLS.
Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Must possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of quality improvement concepts.
This role involves handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations.
