Job Description
This Medical/Surgical Hospitalist role involves providing compassionate patient care during day shifts.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and documenting care in compliance with regulations.
Evaluate diagnostic tests, assess patient needs and responses, and apply sound nursing judgment for patient management.
Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, administering over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
Collaborate with the nursing team to develop a Plan of Care and guide ancillary staff, maintaining professional standards.
The role requires handling sensitive information securely, ensuring access is based on a “need to know” basis and protecting patient privacy according to relevant laws.
