The Clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist department provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness, contributing to a supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, and documents procedures according to regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment for management decisions.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering prescribed medications.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop patient care plans and guides ancillary staff, maintaining professional standards.
The role requires confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA and other regulations, ensuring information access is limited to necessary personnel.
