Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Infectious Disease Med/Surg Unit provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting care.
Assesses and interprets diagnostic tests to evaluate patient conditions, offering primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow personalized care plans, guiding ancillary staff and maintaining professional standards.
Requires a nursing diploma, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of Med-Surg or Progressive Care experience.
Must possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of quality improvement principles.
The role involves safeguarding sensitive information according to privacy regulations and standards.
