Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Infectious Disease Med/Surg Unit provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and assessing patient needs.
They interpret diagnostic tests, make sound nursing judgments, and deliver primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
Collaborating with the team, they develop and follow a Plan of Care, oversee ancillary staff, and maintain professional standards.
Qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of Med-Surg or Progressive Care experience.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with knowledge of quality improvement principles.
The role involves handling sensitive information responsibly, respecting privacy and confidentiality standards.
