Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist unit provides compassionate patient care, actively listening and creating a caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment in decision-making.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop and implement a Plan of Care, guiding ancillary staff and maintaining professional standards.
This role may involve handling sensitive information protected by privacy regulations, with access limited to job-relevant information to ensure confidentiality.
