Surgical Technologist

Functions as a surgical team member in the operating room under RN supervision, assisting in patient care across all ages to ensure quality care.

The Operating Room provides intraoperative care for diverse patient populations, working with various specialties for both outpatient and inpatient procedures.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, current surgical technology certification in Oregon, and BLS certification. Experience or training in computer applications is preferred.

Skills needed include time management, social perceptiveness, effective communication, and knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and procedures. The role involves physical demands such as lifting, walking, and manual dexterity.

Physical demands vary from occasional to continual, including standing, lifting up to 60 lbs, and manual tasks required in the operating environment.
