Job Description

The Clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist department provides compassionate, patient-centered care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and evaluating diagnostic tests.

  • Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment for management decisions.

  • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, and collaborates with the team to develop individualized Plans of Care.

  • Directs ancillary staff, maintains professional standards, and fosters a caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues.

    • The role requires adherence to privacy regulations, ensuring sensitive information is protected and accessed only on a “need to know” basis.
