Job Description
The clinical Nurse in the Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) works night shifts, providing compassionate care to patients, families, and colleagues through kindness and active listening.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and tests, documenting as required.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment in decision-making.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering prescribed medications.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop patient care plans and guides ancillary staff, maintaining professional standards.
Contributes to a caring environment, recognizing the value of each team member’s work.
The role may involve handling sensitive information, requiring adherence to privacy and security policies.
