Job Description
Seeking a full-time evening RN for the Ambulatory Surgery Unit, working Monday-Friday 12p-8:30p with one holiday per year and few weekends. Must have 1 year of experience, IV skills, be organized, and a team player.
Provide care in preop and recovery areas, follow physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform tests, and document treatments.
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests; assess patient needs and responses.
Use sound nursing judgment for care management, provide emergency and routine care, and educate patients and families.
Collaborate with the team to create and implement patient care plans, guide ancillary staff, and uphold professional standards.
Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current NYS RN license, BLS certification, and strong communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of quality improvement tools is preferred.
