Job Title: Director Surgical Services

Job Summary: The Director Surgical Services is a registered nurse (RN) responsible for leading and overseeing the surgical services department, ensuring safe and effective patient care. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, this role includes managing personnel, resources, clinical practice, education, and research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee surgical services development aligned with strategic goals.
• Manage personnel, including hiring, coaching, and performance monitoring.
• Develop and monitor budgets, ensuring operational targets are met.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and improve clinical practices.
• Identify educational opportunities and stay current with nursing practices.
• Evaluate nursing research for applicability and drive process improvements.

Education & Experience: BSN required; MSN preferred. Minimum five years of relevant experience, including three years in leadership. Unencumbered RN license in New York required.

Soft Skills: Strong managerial, organizational, and communication skills; ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
