Caring Hands Merrifield is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for enhancing the lives of pets and their owners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Communication: Provide updates and guidance to clients regarding their pets’ care.
• Client Education: Educate clients on preventative medicine and financial policies.
• Animal Handling: Assist in medical procedures and monitor patients.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure proper care of surgical materials and equipment.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records.
• Pharmacy Assistance: Help with medication dispensing.
• Safety Skills: Follow safety guidelines and perform emergency treatments.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification.
• Compassionate animal handling skills.
• Knowledge of common disease states and safety guidelines.
