Operates diagnostic ultrasound equipment to produce various cardiac images, including adult and pediatric echocardiograms, under the Director’s supervision. Ensures high-quality exams and provides necessary information for accurate diagnoses while collaborating with other departments for efficient procedures.
Education:
Requires an Associate’s degree in a healthcare field and completion of a cardiac ultrasound training program, or a two-year Echocardiogram training program. On-site training eligibility is available for those with relevant healthcare experience.
Licensure/Certification:
Current CPR certification and a valid Echocardiography license from ARDMS or CCI, or registry eligible with certification required within 12 months of graduation.
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Other Qualifications:
Knowledge of imaging anatomical structures, ability to lift 75 lbs, excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, critical thinking, and willingness to cover call, weekends, and holidays.
