Position Summary: The Ultrasound Technologist, under the supervision of the Ultrasound Manager and Supervisor, is responsible for generating diagnostic images and assisting in various procedures while adhering to departmental policies.
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of ultrasound exams and assist in sterile procedures.
Prepare exam rooms and equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Complete exams efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
Communicate effectively with patients and staff, providing excellent customer service.
Maintain equipment and ensure cleanliness of work areas.
Document all procedures and follow infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or equivalent in diagnostic medical sonography.
ARDMS certification required prior to hire.
Preferred experience in a clinical setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Working Conditions: The position requires 24/7 coverage, with potential for overtime and shift changes.
