The role involves providing quality dental diagnosis and treatment to ensure patient health, aligned with organizational goals.
Essential Functions:
– Deliver comprehensive dental care including diagnosis, treatment planning, and various dental procedures.
– Maintain patient records and manage dental emergencies.
– Adhere to infection control standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
– Assist with insurance forms and train new staff.
– Engage in community oral health education and attend departmental meetings.
Minimum Experience and Skills Required:
– General dentist with 3+ years of clinical experience.
– Knowledge of community dental health and strong organizational skills.
Education and Licenses Required:
– DDS or DMD degree.
– New York State dental license and DEA registration.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Competencies Required:
– Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:
– Primarily in a mental health clinic with potential exposure to infectious diseases.
Work Schedule:
– Mon/Thurs: 11am – 7pm; Tues/Wed/Fri: 9am – 5pm; one half-day monthly.
