Job Description

Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 (external candidates only)

Schedule: 36 hours, 3 nights per week (7p-7a)

Summary: The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care services, managing life support systems for patients. Responsibilities include administering treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating on hospital initiatives. Candidates must have completed a two-year AMA-approved program, hold a Massachusetts license, and possess BLS certification. Two years of experience is preferred, but new graduates are welcome. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to handle sensitive information are essential.

Essential Duties:

• Conduct respiratory care per department policies.
• Administer tests and therapies, documenting patient responses.
• Operate mechanical ventilators and perform suctioning as needed.
• Assist in emergency situations and maintain patient airway.
• Participate in quality improvement and educational initiatives.
