Job Description
> REF:#aee33f20d999be33Summary: This position involves performing medical ultrasound procedures as per physician orders, adhering to guidelines from the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and American Society Radiologic Technologists. The technologist will manage ultrasound equipment, assess patient needs, and document procedures accurately. They will report to the Radiology Medical Director and provide necessary patient information to the Radiologist.
Responsibilities:
- Gather patient history and monitor conditions.
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures.
- Explain procedures to patients and families.
- Ensure high-quality imaging per department standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Take weekend call on a rotating basis.
Requirements:
- Radiology Associate Degree preferred.
- Completion of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- Minimum of 1 year clinical ultrasound experience required.
- ARDMS or ARRT certification in Abdomen required within one year.
- BLS certification required.
