Overview:
As part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, the Hospital Pharmacist collaborates with providers to optimize medication therapy and dosing, while advising clinical staff on administration and side effects. The role ensures safe and accurate medication regimens during inpatient stays, adhering to all regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication accuracy and appropriateness of provider orders.
  • Conduct admission medication reconciliation and provide clinical recommendations.
  • Educate patients and staff on medications and oversee pharmacy technicians.

    • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or PharmD; residency preferred.
  • 1 year of hospital experience; current Iowa pharmacy license required.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
