The Registered Nurse Clinical Educator II (RNCE) will enhance diabetic patient care and staff education by assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating clinical strategies. The RNCE will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide diabetes education to patients and families in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based diabetic consultations.
- Educate nursing staff on diabetes management.
- Conduct clinical rounds and provide consultations for high-risk patients.
- Develop clinical protocols and maintain patient education resources.
- Research and report on diabetes education program efficacy.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
- Three years of clinical RN experience and diabetes management.
- Current Texas RN license and BLS certification required.
