Position Title: Cath/IR Scrub Tech

Position Summary: The Cath/IR Scrub Tech is a specialty certified technologist responsible for assisting in diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic imaging procedures in a sterile surgical environment. This role requires maintaining sterile preparation, proper documentation, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in physician-supervised procedures with sterile preparation.
• Document use of contrast materials and patient charges.
• Maintain clinical and technical competency in various imaging procedures.
• Complete mandatory educational assignments.
• Follow confidentiality and safety policies.
• Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to infection control policies.
• Participate in patient safety protocols and on-call responsibilities.
• Assist in training and preceptorship of Radiology residents.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Graduate.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.

Preferred Education:

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree.
• 1+ years of interventional exposure.

Licensure and Certification:

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) within 90 days.
• ARRT Radiography certification.
• BLS certification.
• ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiography certification within 3 years.

Knowledge Requirements: Second language preferred.
