Position Summary: The Cath/IR Scrub Tech is a specialty certified technologist responsible for assisting in diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic imaging procedures in a sterile surgical environment. This role requires maintaining sterile preparation, proper documentation, and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in physician-supervised procedures with sterile preparation.
- Document use of contrast materials and patient charges.
- Maintain clinical and technical competency in various imaging procedures.
- Complete mandatory educational assignments.
- Follow confidentiality and safety policies.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to infection control policies.
- Participate in patient safety protocols and on-call responsibilities.
- Assist in training and preceptorship of Radiology residents.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Graduate.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
Preferred Education:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree.
- 1+ years of interventional exposure.
Licensure and Certification:
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) within 90 days.
- ARRT Radiography certification.
- BLS certification.
- ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiography certification within 3 years.
Knowledge Requirements: Second language preferred.
