> REF:#99acc9db296888eeThe Sleep Technologist is responsible for evaluating and treating sleep disorders through polysomnographic testing and analysis. Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting and analyzing patient information to tailor testing procedures.
- Preparing and calibrating testing equipment, applying electrodes, and performing physiologic calibrations.
- Conducting various sleep studies and documenting observations for scoring and interpretation.
- Implementing interventions for patient safety and therapeutic needs.
- Training new staff and serving as a resource for uncertified technicians.
Qualifications include current certification as a Registered Polysomnographic/Sleep Technologist and CPR certification. The role requires ongoing education and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
