Neurology Veterinary Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our Neurology Department. This role involves providing exceptional care to patients with neurological conditions under the supervision of a board-certified veterinary neurologist in a state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with diagnostic procedures.
• Assist in surgical procedures and manage anesthesia monitoring.
• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and ensure accurate patient positioning.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding treatment plans and post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with the veterinary team.
• Engage in continuing education to stay updated in veterinary neurology.

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed RVT in California.
• Preferred experience in specialty medicine or anesthesia.
• Strong veterinary nursing skills and excellent communication abilities.
• Genuine compassion for animals and a positive team-oriented attitude.
