We are hiring a *Licensed Mental Health Counselor* for the Bell County Jail in Belton, TX, for the night shift. Candidates must have a master’s degree and licensure as LPC, LCSW, LADC, or LMFT. The counselor will assess and coordinate mental health care for incarcerated individuals, develop individualized release plans, and provide crisis intervention.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention
  • Conduct suicide evaluations
  • Coordinate care with facility and medical staff
  • Develop Individualized Treatment Plans
  • Promote linkages with community mental health agencies
  • Complete inmate need assessments and release plans
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities
  • Provide mental health training for jail staff

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work, clinical psychology, or related field
  • Licensure as a Social Worker, Marriage/Family Therapist, or Mental Health Counselor required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 – $36.00 per hour
Location: In-person in Belton, TX
