Job Summary:

The Intake RN is responsible for conducting assessments for patient admissions, both at the facility and externally. Key duties include evaluating clinical appropriateness, collaborating with medical staff, ensuring timely admissions, and managing documentation. The RN may administer medications, educate patients, and advocate for appropriate levels of care. Candidates should have a nursing degree, preferably a BSN, and experience in mental health admissions. A valid RN license and CPR certification are required. This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

• Ensures proper documentation and pre-authorization.

• Conducts insurance verifications and responds to inquiries.
