Department: Nuclear Medicine/PET
Reports to: Manager of Nuclear Medicine & PET Services
Status: Full Time/PRN/Non-Exempt
Position Summary: Responsible for preparing, administering, and measuring radioactive isotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic studies, adhering to policies and safety regulations while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction.
- Perform diagnostic studies using gamma cameras and evaluate image quality.
- Conduct quality control on equipment and ensure radiation safety.
- Provide support and information to patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Degree from an accredited radiology program.
- Certifications: MRTBE, ARRT, NMTCB, CPR.
- IV skills required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform visual tasks.
