Job Description

Position: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced direct and indirect client care.
• Review cases referred by therapists and medical practitioners.
• Conduct initial evaluations and follow-up care for medication management.
• Formulate diagnoses of acute and chronic diseases.
• Complete documentation within 24 hours of service.
• Administer medications and therapeutic interventions.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and treatment.

Requirements:

• Graduate from an approved Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Licensed in Iowa with current DEA certification.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong interpersonal skills and public health knowledge.
• Experience with electronic health records and substance abuse treatment.
