Job Description
> REF:#0edc2716fa0972ebThis full-time position involves 8-10 hour day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week, with on-call requirements based on the surgery schedule. Flexibility is essential to meet departmental and patient needs. The role reports to the Director of Perioperative Services and is eligible for a potential sign-on bonus.
Qualifications:
- Certification by the National Association of Surgical Technicians required
- Previous surgical technician experience preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Must live within a 45-minute response time for on-call duties
- Ongoing compliance and education in the Surgical Technician field
Skills and Abilities:
- Co-responsibility for correct counts of surgical instruments
- Knowledge of medication identification on the sterile field
- Setup of sterile field with necessary instruments and supplies
- Correct patient positioning and safe transportation practices
- Assistance with gowning, gloving, and draping
- Participation in surgical site verification
- Ability to meet physical demands and engage in ongoing training
